In the two weeks we were down south at the ionic sea, there were several days with really strong winds blowing. Sometimes relentless for hours, ebbing for a bit, then coming back again. It fit the overall harshness. Yes the ocean was wonderful, but as soon as you went away from it you encountered the results of weeks and even months without rain. Harsh. Yet magnetically beautiful. The land had a really strong pull.

We shot these outfit pics on one of those windy days, so please excuse the strange bulging and billowing of the clothes. Or my hair. These culottes are one of the best pieces I ever acquired in a sale. They've been with me for two years now and were worn many times over. Another perfect summer piece as they are light and breezy. As is the bohemian style tank top with embroidery. It's crinkled so it is extremely forgiving to being packed into a suitcase.




I love having pieces I can go back to time and time again, that are trusty and faithful companions on my fashion journey. As I've said before, I am not into the whole buy and discard, buy and discard cycle that is underneath the trend wheel, and much needed for it to keep moving at the speed it does. I much prefer a slow fashion approach. Where clothing (and accessories) is cherished for longer than just one Instagram picture or night out.

Unfortunately, even tho I used a SPF50 the first couple of days, I fetched a minor sun burn. Urgh. Not cool. A moment of going out unprotected can do you in here if you aren't used to it.

This post will be short and to the point, as the title "An Outfit Quickie" suggests. At the beginning of June we went to the cinema to watch the latest installment in the DC cinematic universe, the Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot. And this is what I wore.


It was a pretty warm day outside, so I opted for wearing a simple midi tank dress, made from 100% organic cotton. The scarf was there in case the air conditioning inside the cinema was crancked up too high for my liking.




What I love about this dress is first the versatility. I can wear it stand alone like here, layered under a more trasparent garment or layered under a top. Second the fact that the fabric is light jersey but doesn't cling totally to your body, which makes it more forgiving to wear.

The day of the Summer Solstice, when day and night time are of equal length and the Sun ingresses into Cancer, I just spent doing pretty much nothing but enjoying the day at a slow pace. Gosh I was so tired from the day before when I did my black belt exame.

I put on my new fancy tie dye maxi dress I found at Shopbop Sales. Let me tell you, it's beautiful, lovely to wear and it was marked down 70%. Definitely worth taking a look. Dang, I said that recently already ... But you agree that the dress is beautiful, yes?

So I wore this maxi dress and my gladiator (or slave or whatever) sandals for lounging on the terrace, sunbathing, water pistol duels and grabbing an ice cream in town. It was perfect for each of these, and would have worked just as well going for a pizza in the evening. Going to say it again, a good maxi dress is worth having in your wardrobe.


This lace trimmed crop blouse is the last of the pieces I've gotten during the Shopbop Sale in early April. You might remember that I had been looking for a dressy top as well as wanting to get in on the lace trend action for summer. Well this one here, caught my attention right away. What I love about it is the broad lace trimming, which turns it into the perfect crop top if you aren't into outfits with freestyle baring your midriff anymore. It's like the Boho Ladies version of a crop top. So there you have it. One fashionable way to wear a crop top over 40. Or, whatever your age, when you feel like wearing but don't want to show your belly.

And what I really liked about ordering from Shopbop was their friendly customer service. Quick to reply and very helpful. I have had to cancel my first order because I had made a silly mistake, and even tho it was already in the "shipping" stage, they e-mailed the warehouse to hold up the package before leaving, cancelled the order for me and refunded, all within a short time frame. Professional and efficient. Just the way we like it.

The Hairstyle Experiment

Ahaha, I have always loved elaborate hairclips and especially flower ones. And I bought them because I found them so fancy. But then I never wore them. Until today...

Midway through the shoot, half of the hair fell out and I finished looking like I was sporting a serious front mullet. Or having the standard male hair loss pattern. Or both. I'll spare you. But more than that, I spare myself from the embarrassement. Next time, I'll glue them put.

The dress is not quite polka dotted because those dots are actually little squares.

Ahaha. Ho sempre adorato i accessori per i capelli, ma sopratutto quelli con i fiori. E li ho comprati perchè li trovavo carini. Ma poi non li ho mai messi. Fin ad oggi...

 A un punto durante lo shooting, metà dei capelli davanti si sono staccati e sembravo di avere un mullet. O il trama standard dei uomini quando cominciano a perdere i capelli. O entrambi. Vi risparmio. Ma sopratutto risparmio me dal imbarazzo. La prossima volta metto ca colla.

 Il vestito non è coperto dai pois "Polka", ma piccoli cubi.

Ahaha. Mir haben etwas auffaelligere Haarclips immer schon gut gefallen. Besonders die mit Blumen. Und ich habe sie mir gekauft, weil sie so schick waren. Aber dann habe ich sie nie benutzt. Bis heute ...

An einem Punkt, so halbwegs durch das Shooting, ist die Haelfte der Haare vorne aus dem Clip gerutscht und ich sah aus als haette ich ein schweres Front Mullet Problem. Oder Geheimratsecken. Oder beides. Ich erspare es Euch. Aber vor allem erspare ich mir die Peinlichkeit. Das naechste Mal werden sie festgeklebt.

Das Kleid ist "nicht wirklich" mit Polka Dots, weil das naemlich kleine quadratische Farbkleckse sind.

A fountain & Ice cream

This t-shirt is another from my collection of men's tee's, I've found it at OVS. Here I am wearing it for a quick trip to the city for an ice cream and some walking with my family.

I would have loved to use different shoes, but my right little toe had a cut and those sneakers where the only ones I could manage to walk in. Not very glamorous.

Dieses T-Shirt ist ein weiteres Exemplar aus meiner Kollektion von Maenner oder Jungsoberteilen, ich habe es bei OVS gefunden. Hier habe ich es zum Eis essen und bummeln gehen mit meiner Familie angezogen.

Ich haette gerne andere Schuhe dazu kombiniert, aber ich hatte eine Verletzung am rechten kleinen Zeh und diese Turnschuhe waren die einzigen in denen ich einigermassen laufen konnte. Nicht sehr glamoroes.

I've told you in this post that I wanted to pack my black jumpsuit for the trip to Germany. And voilà, here it is. The weather is not all that great here, so I paired it with this jeans jacket in blouson cut I found these days on a flea market and closed low ankle booties I got from the sales rack at a local Deichmann.

This jeans jacket was intended for girls, as in the sizing is for teens. But hey, such things never stopped me. I paid like 1,50€ for it, which is okayish considering the original prize probably wasn't all that high to begin with (yeah I know where that brand is sold normally). These cute little blue rings were 2€ at Rossmann. And the necklace you already know from the blue maxi skirt post.

This is an outfit that you really "just throw on" to do whatever. If you don't need more space then what goes inside this mini bag. With a zombie apocalypse maybe change the shoes.

Come vi avevo detto in questo post, volevo mettere la mia salopette nera dentro la valigia. E voilà, eccola qui. Il tempo qui non è un gran che, allora l'ho indossata insieme a un giubbino di jeans, taglio blouson, che ho trovato a un mercato delle pulci e tronchetti chiusi che ho comprato in un negozio Deichmann del posto.

 La giacca di jeans è per ragazze, con ciò voglio dire che la taglia è per adolescenti. Ma queste cose insignificanti non mi hanno mai fermato. Ho pagato 1,50€, il che va bene considerando che il prezzo originale probabilmente non era molto alto (si, so dove si vende questo brand). Questi anellini carini blu erano 2€ a set presso la catena Rossmann. E la collana la conoscete già dal post con la gonna lunga blu.

 Questo è un outfit che si può veramente portare per qualsiasi cosa. Se non vi serve più spazio di quello che sta dentro una mini bag. Durante l'apocalisse zombie cambiate le scarpe magari.

Ich hatte ja in diesem Post gesagt, dass ich meinen schwarzen Jumpsuit / Overall fuer meine Reise nach Deutschland einpacken wollte. Und voilà, hier ist er. Da das Wetter hier zur Zeit nicht so ueppig ist, habe ich eine Jeans Jacke im Blouson Stil, die ich auf dem Flohmarkt gefunden habe darueber gezogen und ihn mit ein paar Stiefelettchen, die ich hier bei Deichmann gekauft habe, kombiniert.

Die Jeans Jacke ist eigentlich fuer Maedchen gedacht, dass heisst die Groesse ist 152. Aber solche Kleinigkeiten haben mich noch nie abgehalten. Ich habe noch 1,50€ dafuer bezahlt, was einigermassen okay ist, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Original Preis wohl eher nicht so hoch war (ja, ich weiss wo diese Marke normalerweise verkauft wird). Diese suessen blauen Ringe habe ich im Set beim Rossmann gefunden. Und die Kette kennt Ihr ja bereits aus dem Post mit dem blauen Maxi Rock.

Das hier ist ein Outfit, dass man wirklich einfach nur so ueberziehen und dann was auch immer machen kann. Wenn der Platz in einer Mini Tasche ausreichend ist. Bei Zombie Apocalypse eventuell Schuhe wechseln.

Blue Jeans and Leo Flats




A couple of days ago my husband and me had the opportunity to leave our son with my parents for the day and we went to visit Heidelberg, which I think doesn't need a lot of introduction.

I was wearing my patterned Max&Co shirt that I had bought during winter sales, blue jeans and square toe flats with leo print. Tecnically, they have a heel of like 1 cm, but that counts as flat right?

Qualche giorno fa mio marito e io abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di lasciare nostro figlio per la giornata con i miei genitori e siamo andati a visitare Heidelberg, una città che non ha bisogno di presentazione.


Indossavo la mia camicia con fantasia di Max&Co che avevo comprato durante i saldi invernali, blu jeans e scarpe basse con punta rettangolare e stampa animalier. Le scarpe hanno un piccollo tacco di 1 cm, ma questo conta come basso, vero?

Vor ein paar Tagen hatten mein Mannn und ich die Gelegenheit unseren Sohn fuer den Tag bei meinen Eltern zu lassen und wir sind nach Heidelberg gefahren. Ich denke, die Stadt hat keinen Bedarf an einer grossen Vorstellung.

Ich hatte meine gemusterte Max&Co Bluse, die ich im Winter im Schlussverkauf erstanden habe, Jeans und flache Schuhe mit Leo Print an. Also eigentlich haben die Schuhe einen kleinen Absatz von 1 cm, aber das zaehlt doch als flach, oder?

It is almost vintage




I am going to admit it, the reason for this post is to show off my self made earrings and necklace. Last week I sat down and created a couple of new pieces of jewelry for myself. The outfit itself is made of a blue maxi skirt and a black top with waterfall neckline that I've had for a very long time. So long I think it could almost count as vintage. Love wearing this shiny skirt for summer. Will be sad when it finally goes to clothes heaven.

Lo confesso, la ragione per questo post è che volevo farvi vedere gli orecchini e la collana fai da te. La settimana scorsa mi sono seduta e ho creato alcuni pezzi nuovi per me stessa. L'outfit stesso è composto da una gonna lunga (maxi) blu e un top con scollatura a cascata, entrambi con me da tanto tempo. Così tanto tempo che credo che potrei considerarli vintage. Adoro indossare questa gonna lucida durante l'estate. Sarò sicuramente triste quando un giorno deciderà di andarsene.

Ich gebe es zu, der Grund fuer dieses Outfit Post ist, dass ich meine selbstgemachten Ohrringe und Halskette vorzeigen will. Letze Woche habe ich mich hingesetzt und ein paar neue Stuecke fuer mich gebastelt. Das Outfit selbst besteht aus einem langen blauen Rock und einem schwarzen Top mit Wasserfall Ausschnitt, beide schon sehr lange in meinem Besitz. So lange, dass ich glaube die koennten schon als Vintage gelten. Ich liebe es diesen schimmernden Rock im Sommer anzuziehen. Werde ein bisschen traurig sein, wenn er sich dazu entschliesst in den Kleider Himmel zu gehen.

The pants (and the shoes) I'm wearing you've already seen before. The metallic pumps, even tho high heels, do not change the over all feel of the look in my opinion.

Right now I am on holidays, so forgive the even briefer then usual texts, as well as me not being overly present.

Ruba lo dai ragazzi. Letteralmente. E anche no. Perchè l'ho pagato. Qui un altro esempio di me che ha fatto lo shopping nel reparto dei ragazzi. I pantaloni (e le scarpe) che indosso li avete già visti. Le decolleté effetto metallico, anche se a tacco alto, non cambiano l'impressione del look, secondo me.

In questi giorni sono in vacanze, perciò scusate per favore i testi ancora più brevi del solito. E anche la mia poca presenza.

Klau' es von den Jungs. Woertlich. Und auch wieder nicht. Habe ja schliesslich bezahlt. Hier ein weiteres Beispiel davon, dass ich staendig in der Jungen Abteilung einkaufe. Die Hosen (und die Schuhe) habt Ihr schon gesehen. Die silberfarbenen Pumps in Metallic Optik, obwohl mit Absatz, veraendern meiner Meinung nach den Gesamteindruck des Outfits nicht.

Ich bin gerade in Ferien, entschuldigt also bitte, dass die Texte noch kuerzer als sonst sind. Und auch, dass ich eher nicht praesent bin.

Wait, I've seen this before

Yes, indeed you have. I tend to wear my stuff "upside down dress I turn you inside out and round and round". This particular striped dress made an appearance as outfit post on the blog back in April, albeit with tights underneath. Looking at my white legs, and the current weather, I could have as well kept the tights.

Something weird is happening with the blue here ...

I've kept it super minimalistic and just put on the ballet flats you saw here. And yes, used the same bag as in the maxi dress post. Lazy fashion blogger.

An afternoon at the park

Combined Tasks: Entertaining our son and taking outfit pictures for the blog at a local park with playground. Fashion Mom. This black maxi dress is from the Mango Outlet, and why not buy something like this 2 fashion seasons later? It's so minimalistic and timeless, I think I could use it even for a zombie apocalypse. I may have to do some knotting work to allow for faster running in that case but it actually comes with a decent side slit already.

Compiti simultanei. Far giocare nostro figlio e scattare le foto per il blog in un parco giochi di zona. Mamma Fashion. Questo abito lungo nero viene dall'outlet di Mango e perchè non comprarsi qualcosa del genere 2 stagioni di moda in ritardo? E' minimalistico e senza tempo, penso che potrei usarlo anche per un'apocalisse zombie. Forse dovrei soltanto lavorare un pochino sui nodi, per poterci correre più velocemente,  dopotutto questo vestito ha già lo spacco laterale.

Kombinierte Aufgaben. Unseren Sohn unterhalten und Fotos fuer den Blog schiessen, in einem lokalen Park mit Spielplatz. Fashion Mama. Dieses schwarze Maxikleid habe ich vom Mango Outlet, und warum sollte man so etwas auch nicht 2 Mode Jahreszeiten spaeter kaufen? Ist so minimalistisch und ohne Verfallsdatum, das koennte ich sogar fuer eine Zombie Apokalypse anziehen. Muesste dann nur eventuell den Saum etwas hoeher verknoten, um schnelleres Rennen zu erlauben, allerdings kommt das Kleid ja schon mit Seitenschlitz. 

The Meeting of Attention Pieces






As you can see I felt really adventurous the other day. I put some pink near my hair! That is something I had wanted to try for awhile, so when I saw this fantastic flamingo scarf I figured it would be a good way to test the waters. Looking at the pictures I think it works rather well.

And just in case anyone missed that scarf, I had the clutch to pull em in. A flashy metallic light blue. Electric. Born to catch the eye. The blouse wasn't that bad either, a thin stripes pattern, ruffles, puffy sleeves and then knotted on top of it. In contrast, the shoes with their little cute bow and low heel were rather tame. By the way, those are my wedding shoes.

Overkill? Or just right?

Come potete vedere, mi sentivo avventurosa l'altro giorno. Ho indossato qualcosa di rosa vicino ai miei capelli! Volevo provarci già da un po di tempo, così quando ho visto questa sciarpa fantastica con i fenicotteri, mi sono detta che poteva essere un buon modo per sperimentare la cosa.


Nel caso in cui la sciarpa passasse inosservata, avevo la pochette per attirare l'attenzione. Un blu chiaro metallico. Elettrico. Nata per catturare lo sguardo. La camicia poi non è niente male, fantasia a righe sottili, volant, maniche a sbuffo e poi annodata. In contrasto, le scarpe con i loro piccoli fiocchi carini e i tacchi bassi sono quasi modeste. Tra l'altro, queste sono le mie scarpe del matrimonio.



Fin troppo? O la misura giusto?

Wie Ihr sehen koennt, war ich abenteuerlustig letztens. Ich habe was in pink in der Naehe meiner Haare getragen! Das ist ja etwas, was ich schon seit einiger Zeit mal versuchen wollte, und wie ich dann diesen tollen Flamingo Schal gesehen habe, dachte ich mir das ist doch ne gute Methode das mal anzutesten. Und wenn ich mir die Bilder so anschaue, bin ich eigentlich recht zufrieden damit.


Und im Fall das jemand den Flamingo Schal uebersehen hat, hatte ich noch die Clutch. Metallic Effect in hellblau. Elektrisch. Geboren um Blicke auf sich zu ziehen. Auch die Bluse war nicht schlecht mit den duennen Streifen als Muster, Rueschen, Puffaermeln und geknotet. Im Gegensatz dazu waren die Schuhe mit den ihren kleinen Schleifen und niedrigem Absatz doch eher zurueckhaltend. Uebrigens sind das die Schuhe, die ich auf meiner Hochzeit anhatte.

Zuviel des Guten? Oder gerade richtig?


Enter the black Jumpsuit experiment


This is the little something I picked up when I went to the city a few weeks ago. The shop offered a 30% discount that day, so I got this black jumpsuit in jersey for well under 10€. I will say that the price was definitely a factor for going with this experiment. An experiment yes, because it is the first jumpsuit I own.

Questo è la piccola cosa che ho acquistato quando ero in città, qualche settimana fa. Il negozio offriva uno sconto del 30% quel giorno, quindi ho preso questo jumpsuit (tuta) nero per parecchio meno di 10€. Devo dire che il prezzo è stato decisamente un fattore pro-esperimento. Si un esperimento, perchè è il primo jumpsuit (tuta) che ho nell'armadio.

Das hier ist die Kleinigkeit, die ich gekauft habe, als ich vor einigen Wochen in der Stadt war. Der Laden hatet an dem Tag eine 30% Aktion, weswegen ich den Overall fuer weniger als 10€ bekommen habe. Ich muss zugeben, der Preis war definitiv ein Entscheidungsfaktor "Pro Experiment". Ein Experiment, ja, es ist naemlich der erste Overall den ich besitze.


Outfit Quickie
Good Morning! Just a couple of pictures from yesterday. I wore this outfit to go shopping for shoes. For my son. This is always a bit of a tricky issue as he is very peculiar about his shoes. And we have to stop by the playground, before or after. Hence why I didn't wear this skirt (you maybe remember it from this post?) as I would have liked, but something that enables me to climb the slide tower to help if needed. Yes, I only go up there to help him climb ... really...

Buongiorno! Soltanto alcune immagini di ieri. Indossavo questo per comprare le scarpe. Per mio figlio. Questo è sempre un affare un attimino complicato, perché lui è molto difficile riguardo alla scelta delle sue scarpe. Dobbiamo anche fermarci al parco giochi, prima o poi. Ecco perché non ho messo questa gonna come volevo (vi ricordatela da questo post?) tanto dopo averla preso dalla sarta ieri mattina , ma qualcosa che mi ha permesso di arrampicarmi sulla torre dello scivolo per aiutarlo, se necessario. Si vado su solo per aiutarlo ad arrampicarsi ... giuro...

Guten Morgen! Nur schnell ein paar Bilder von gestern. Das Outfit hier hatte ich an um Schuhe kaufen zu gehen. Fuer meinen Sohn. Das ist immer so eine Sache, der Herr ist naemlich etwas eigen was seine Schuhe angeht. Und dann muessen wir auch immer noch beim Spielplatz vorbei, entweder vorher oder danach. Deswegen habe ich mich letztendlich auch gegen diesen Rock entschieden (erinnert Ihr Euch an den von diesem Post?), den ich so gerne angezogen haette nachdem ich ihn gestern morgen bei der Schneiderin abgeholt habe, aber fuer etwas, dass es mir erlaubt den Rutschbahn-Turm hochzuklettern um Hilfestellung zu leisten*. Ich gehe da auch nur hoch um meinem Sohn mit dem letzten Stueck zu helfen... ehrlich ...

The Outfit

We took these pictures the day before I left for my karate weekend. I am wearing a very lightweight gown I bought many years ago and a short boxy t-shirt with batwing sleeves that I knotted in the front to turn it into a crop top. An outfit for a warm, for a hot day. A casual and comfortable look.

Abbiamo scattato queste foto un giorno prima della partenza per il mio weekend di karate. Indossavo una gonna di tessuto tecnico che ho comprato tanti anni fa e una maglietta ampia con maniche a pipistrello con un nodo davanti per farlo diventare un crop top. Un outfit per una giornata calda. Un look casuale e confortevole.

Wir haben diese Fotos am Tag vor meiner Abreise zum Karate-Wochenende aufgenommen. Ich trage einen leichten Rock aus einer Art Fallschirmseide und ein kastenfoermiges T-Shirt mit Fledermausaermeln, das ich durch einen Knoten vorne in ein Crop Top verwandelt habe. Ein Outfit fuer warme, fuer heisse Tage. Casual und bequem.
