Wrapped in Hearts - Saying Goodbye to Radiant Orchid

Radiant Orchid was the color of the Year 2014. Now, these tights aren't exactly Pantone 18-3224, as that goes more towards (pastel) violet, but it makes for a catchy title, don't you think? I confess, I never really warmed up to that color. It wasn't calling my name like my beloved blue does. I don't think it's ugly, but ... And you? Did you like "Radiant Orchid" and do you have something in that shade?

Radiant Orchid è stato il colore dell'anno 2014. Adesso, questi collant non sono proprio Pantone 18-3224, perché quello è più un viola (pastello), ma va bene per un titolo accattivante, non pensate? Devo ammettere, non mi sono mai veramente innamorata di quel colore. Non mi chiama certamente per nome come fa il mio adorato blu. Non lo trovo brutto, però... E voi? Vi piace e avete preso qualcosa in "Radiant Orchid" durante l'anno?

Radiant Orchid war die Farbe des Jahres 2014. Nun, diese Strumpfhosen sind nicht Pantone 18-3224, weil das doch eher in Richtung (Pastell-)Lila geht, aber es gibt einen netten Titel her, denkt Ihr nicht? Ich gebe zu, ich konnte mich nie hundertprozent mit der Farbe anfreunden. Sie hat eben nicht meinen Namen gerufen, wie es mein geliebtes Blau macht. Ich finde es nicht haesslich, aber ...Und Ihr? Gefaellt Euch die Farbe und habt Ihr Euch etwas in der Schattierung zugelegt?

    Hab nicht gewusst, dass diese Farbe so heisst! Siehst du,wozu man das Laptop mitschleppt - für die Bildung!!!! ;-)))). Hab auch eine Strumpfhose in dieser Farbe, ziehe sie aber nur zuhause an, für draussen ueberlasse ich's den Jüngeren (so wie dir :)))))). Ansonsten gefallen mir alle Schattierungen von rosa, aber nicht unbedingt zum Anziehen.
    Habe noch eine schöne Zeit, und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!!!

    I'll be honest, I think the pantone colors are a bit funny. I find them to be colors we already have just renamed. I still love the ideas and the things they do with the color. How they re-imagine it in our clothing, or our makeup, but..it's still the same color! Hahah maybe that's just me :)

    Btw, love the scarf! The brightness and pattern are adorable :) plus that first photo is fierce!

    Mi piace vedere un colore acceso su un outfit un po' più sobrio, rende il tutto più vivace.
