Back from the Orion - Black Shift and Knee High Boots
I've rewatched "Raumpatrouille - Die fantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffs Orion" ("Space Patroul - The fantastic adventures of the starship Orion") not too long ago, which prompted this look. Yes, sometimes I like to play dress up when I am getting dressed up. Deep inside I'll always be the nerdy, geeky, awesome girl that wants to end up on a spaceship, no matter how much style polish I put on top.
The series isn't available in english I think, it's from the late 60ies and was in black & white. The methods used to create the special effects are quite curious. Curious but also genius, like filming the dissolution of alka seltzer with the camera turned over to get the effect of rising water bubbles and some of the props where simple everyday objects like a steaming iron, the latter being still a running gag some 50 years later.
Sadly I didn't have long enough hair to recreate the most awesome hair-do all the female protagonists sported.

P.S. It wasn't as warm as it is now, hence the tights didn't bother me.
