Sexy Back - Striped Dress And Fancy Sandals

We are in the grip of a major heatwave here in Italy, or as some people say "a summer how it should be". I don't agree, as I feel at my best between 20°-30° C. Anyway, I sure as all wanted to wear as little as possible lately.

This dress was sitting in my shopping cart for the longest time, as I waited for the sales and as soon as they came around, I pounced. It's perfect for really hot and humid days, as it's not only sporting an ample open back, but is also made from 100% linen. The only thing that's a bit uncomfortable is the knot on the back when sitting in the car.

The beautiful beaded sandals I'm wearing are called "Dose of Daisies" and are from Ikwetta. You may remember me introducing them some time ago, they are the company selling handmade sandals and bags produced in Africa, providing thus a means for those artisans to support themselves. Now their Kickstarter campaign has ended, but you can still buy their sandals (and bags) in their regular online store. You have already seen me wearing them on Instagram, and what can I say, I pretty much have been wearing them all of the past week.

Siamo nella morsa del caldo qui in Italia, quello vero, come qualcuno dice "un'estate come si deve". Io non sono d'accordo, mi trovo al meglio tra i 20° e i 30°C. Ad ogni modo ho voluto indossare il minor numero di cose possibile nelle ultime settimane.

Questo vestito è rimasto nel mio carrello della spesa molto a lungo, ho aspettato i saldi e non appena questi sono arrivati, ho compiuto il balzo. È perfetto per le giornate calde e umide, non solo per avere la schiena quasi completamente libera, ma anche per essere 100% lino. L'unica cosa un po' scomoda è il nodo sulla schiena quando ci si siede in auto.

Questi bellissimi sandali con decorazioni che sto indossando si chiamano "Dose of Daisies" e vengono da Ikwetta. Vi ricorderete che ne ho parlato un po' di tempo addietro, sono quell'azienda che rivende sandali e borse prodotti a mano in Africa, dando quindi la possibilità a quegli artigiani locali di sostentarsi col proprio lavoro. Ora la loro campagna su Kickstarter è finita, ma potete ancora acquistare nel loro negozio online sia i sandali che le borse. Mi avete già visto indossarli su Instagram e che altro vi posso dire se non che li ho messi praticamente per tutta la settimana.

Wir sind hier in Italien gerade Mitten in einer Hitzewelle, oder wie manche meinen "einem Sommer wie er sein sollte". Bin da ja anderer Meinung, weil ich mich am wohlsten fuehle wenn die Temperatur zwischen 20° und 30°C liegt. Wie auch immer, ich wollte und will zur Zeit so wenig wie moeglich anziehen, ohne gegen den guten Geschmack zu verstossen.

Dieses Kleid war lange Zeit in meinem Einkaufskorb, ich habe auf den Schlussverkauf gewartet und als die dann losgingen habe ich zugeschlagen. Es ist perfekt fuer diese tollen heissfeuchten Tage, weil es nicht nur schoen offen am Ruecken ist, sondern auch aus 100% Leinen. Das einzige was mich stoert ist der Knoten beim Autofahren.

Diese huebschen Perlensandalen, die den tollen Namen "Doses of Daisies" tragen, habe ich von Ikwetta bekommen. Ihr erinnert Euch vielleicht, dass ich die vor kurzem (wenn auch nur auf Englisch) vorgestellt habe. Das ist die Firma, die in Afrika handgefertigte Sandalen un Taschen verkauft und somit den Handwerkern dort die Moeglichkeit gibt gut fuer den eigenen Lebensunterhalt zu sorgen. Die Kickstarter Kampagne ist mittlerweile beendet, aber Ihr koennt die Sandalen (und Taschen, Guertel, Armbaender) immer noch im regulaeren Online Shop erwerben.

Die Sandalen hattet Ihr ja schon vor einiger Zeit auf Instagram an meinen Fuessen gesehen und ich kann ehrlich sagen, dass ich sie die ganze letzte Woche getragen habe.
