Fashion Exhibition Part One - Gianfranco Ferrè
On Sunday May 18th I went to a fashion exhibition that took place over 3 days in this beautiful old Villa in a town near Brescia.
The exhibition was divided in two parts. One was dedicated to Gianfranco Ferré and the second part was fashion covering the whole century. In addition, there were Vintage stores from the area presenting their wares on two floors.
Today I am showing you the pictures I took at the part presenting Gianfranco Ferré's work. Such wonderful clothing, a lot of it in silk. I wanted to steal it off the mannequins and make a run for it.
Who is Gianfranco Ferré?
Gianfranco Ferré (1944 - 2007) was an Italian fashion designer that originally studied and got a degree in architecture at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan with the thesis "Methodology of the Approach to Composition". He started out in the fashion business as an accessories designer. In October 1978 he presented his first pret-a-porter collection for women, followed in 1982 by the menswear collection and 1986 by the first couture collection. Then in May 1989 he was appointed Artistic Director for Christian Dior.

Si, in natura si vedeva anche la qualità del materiale e detagli che le foto non trasmettono fin in fondo.
